My God, My Father, While I Stray lyrics by Charlotte Elliot, cover by Brandon Liab
If thou shouldst call me to resign What most I prize, it ne'er was mine; I only yield thee what was thine, 'Thy will be done.' - Charlotte Elliot
My unpopular opinion - and I fully acknowledge that this is me being judgmental but I always want to give a side eye to pastors who publish books at a relatively young age. Now, I was about to say that all the books that I read from dead people were old. But were they? When did John Owens write The Death of Death in the Death of Christ? googles… Good gosh, he was 31! I wasn’t even saved to God when I was 31!
Okay, well, in either case, this was super encouraging to me since I just celebrated my 45th birthday.
It may also be worth restating that Eugene Peterson didn’t publish his first book till he was 48 years old.

I’ll say that again: 48 years old.
And you’ll be hard-pressed to find many individuals in Holy Scripture who did “great things” for God in their youth. https://t.co/DpJEobaphd
Regrets, I have a few - I have purchased smartphones not for my oldest son (who lived with his mom) but for my once step-kids. And what Madonna said here is absolutely true: while I don’t know how their mom felt, I absolutely felt that I lost touch with them as soon as they received them.
I am blessed to have two younger children. My wife and I have already sworn that they will not have smartphones. Ever.
Madonna: “I made a mistake when I gave my older children phones when they were 13. It ended my relationship with them.”

Sobering.
Checkmate, Trekkies
Everyone making fun of the Space Force copying the Star Trek logo, but no one talking about how Star Trek doesn't take place for another 300 years, so who copied whom?

Where is the lie, tho?
